In the world of logistic transport, the handling of goods by aircraft requires the use of special load units called ULDs (Unit Load Devices).

An ULD is a pallet or container that allows you to load large quantities of goods with a single unit designed to fit into an aircraft fuselage. Each ULD has a unique IATA identification code and is accompanied by a transport document which allows its content to be identified.

Air cargo pallet

A flat metal surface, typically made of aluminum, on which goods are placed and then secured using nets to keep the load stable during flight. The edges are designed to provide both reinforcement and guidance, allowing the pallet to move neatly within the aircraft compartment. While assembling the pallet, the goods are organized to optimize the available space in the aircraft's cargo hold. They can reach heights of up to 3 meters.

Among the most used types we mention the pallet P6P/PMC, with dimensions equal to 3.175 x 2.428 mm and capacity up to 6,800 kg.

Containers

Closed containers made of aluminum and polycarbonate thermoplastic resin. They represent the equivalent of maritime containers, but due to the different conformation of the fuselages they present a great variety of shapes and sizes. Depending on the type of goods they have to transport, they can be equipped with refrigerating or ventilated units, or with side openings and hermetic closures.

Unit Load Devices transported on the ground: what we do.

In order to travel on an aircraft, a ULD must first be prepared and transported to the airport warehouse who will take care of its management. Similarly, after being unloaded from the aircraft, it must be transported to its final destination.

Our job is to facilitate the handling of pallets and containers during these stages.

Airport Warehouse Systems

These are modular solutions for the management, preparation and handling of ULDs within the airport warehouse. The modules are easy to install and combined with each other they allow any type of movement required.

Equipment for vehicles on the road

For the transport of air pallets from the company site to the airport warehouse and vice versa, we have developed various set-ups for vehicles, with pneumatic lifting roller conveyors can be integrated if necessary with powered rollers.
